Subject: Heavy handed emotionality
When Don Henley, in Dirty Laundry, complained that the "bleach-blonde [...] could tell you about the plane crash with a gleam in her eye", well, this is the alternative. Depressing instrumental music filled with pathos makes the background, and the narrator makes sure to tell us that "the entire nation bows in grief". The visuals are filled with footage of the area, but notably missing are interviews or any voice besides our omnipresent and invisible narrator.
